Jessner Home Chemical Peel (14% Salicylic Acid, 14% Lactic Acid, 14% Resorcinol)

The Jessner chemical peel is a professional-grade exfoliation treatment designed to improve skin texture, reduce acne, fade hyperpigmentation, and enhance skin radiance. It combines salicylic acid, lactic acid, and resorcinol for a powerful multi-action effect. Proper application ensures safety and effective results.

Step-by-Step Application:

1. Prepare Your Skin:
   • Cleanse your face thoroughly with a gentle, non-abrasive cleanser and pat dry.
   • Ensure your skin is completely free of oils, makeup, and other products.
   • Perform a patch test 24 hours before your first peel to check for sensitivity or irritation.
2. Apply the Peel:
   • Use a brush to apply a thin, even layer of the Jessner solution to your skin, avoiding the eyes, lips, nostrils, and any broken or sensitive areas.
   • Leave on for 2 minutes
   • Repeat the application 2-3 times  - leave on for 10 minutes in total
   • Spot Treat large individual pimples between applying the Jessner solution. Spot treat by dipping a cotton bud and applying to the spot for 5 seconds.
3. Rinse off Peel:
   • Rinse your face thoroughly with cool water 
   • Ensure all traces of the peel are removed.
4. Protect:
   
   • Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher daily for at least a week after the peel to protect your skin, as it will be more sensitive to sunlight.

Tips for Best Results:

• Use the peel no more than once every 2 weeks to allow your skin to recover and renew.
• Avoid using other exfoliating products, retinoids, or harsh treatments for at least 48 hours before and after the peel.
• Expect some mild redness, peeling, or dryness as your skin renews itself. These effects are normal and temporary.
• If severe irritation or discomfort occurs, stop using the product and consult a healthcare professional.

The Jessner chemical peel is our most effective treatment for a range of skin concerns including acne, hyperpigmentation, oily and congested skin, fine lines, improving skin texture and tone. We advise pre-treatment with our acne and dark mark treatment pads. For maximum results, we advise the use of a retinoid to improve skin healing and skin cell turnover, alongside a skin brightening treatment (azelaic acid or hydroquinone)

Procedure: The whole process usually lasts 20minutes. There is minimal discomfort and no peeling/downtime. Instead, the peel works by targeting the oil glands to remove the excess oil and reduce oil production.
